EKIS muna sa paglalaro ng volleyball si Sofia Daniela “Pia” Ildefonso ng Ateneo Blue Eagles sa darating na 85th season ng University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) ngayong Pebrero.
Inanunsyo ng 20-anyos na sophomore player sa kanyang social media account kahapon ang mabigat na desisyon na lumiban muna sa paglalaro.
“God knows how much love I have for this bunch. Always thankful and forever grateful for this team, all the opportunities, and blessings,” pahayag ni Ildefonso sa kanyang Instagram post.
“Definitely the toughest decision I’ve made. I’m choosing to face, fight, and grow through life’s battles outside the sport I love most,” dagdag ng 5-foot-9 hitter na hindi tinukoy ang tunay na dahilan ng pinagdadaanan. (Gerard Arce)
