Puntirya ng Department of Education (DepEd) na simulant ang implementasyon ng bagong Kinder to Grade 10 (K-10 curriculum sa school year 2024-2025.

Ayon kay DepEd spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa nitong Biyernes, Mayo 19, akma ang target rollout date sa ginagawang konsultasyon ng kagawaran para maging maayos ang K-10 curriculum bago ito ipatupad.

“Of course, ang gusto nating makuha talaga ay lahat ng comments ng public, ma-consider natin para ma-tweak pa natin further `yung K-10 curriculum,” sabi ni Poa.

Nilinaw din ni Poa na mananatili ang mother tongue bilang medium of instruction sa bagong K-10 curriculum.

“It’s still a working draft, that’s why we want to get the comments. According to our curriculum guide, and we would like to clarify this, we did not remove the mother tongue as a medium of instruction. What we removed was mother tongue as a subject,” paliwanag pa ni Poa.
