Uulitin ni challenger Brian Paule ang pagdemolis kay interim welterweight champion Will ‘The Kill’ Chope ng Thailand sa kanilang rematch sa Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) 85: Underdog at the DD Night Club sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City sa Hunyo 2.
Dinispatsa ng 33-anyos na Pinoy mula sa Bulacan at eksperto sa boxing/wrestling, ang 32-taong-gulang na Thai sa kanilang unang pagtutuos limang taon na ang nakakaraan sa Dipolog.
“It’s a mission on my part to get the title back for the Filipinos, URCC title is for Filipino fighters. And I want to prove to anyone that I can beat him again,” giit ni Paule nitong isang araw. “I know how he fights so my wrestling prowess will take care of him to avoid takedowns.”
Sinungkit ni Chope ang ang bakanteng interim URCC belt sa nagretiro nang si Arvin Chan noong Disyembre at nanalasa ng tatlong panalo sa magkakaibang liga bago ang muling pakikipagbanatan kay Paule.
“Since winning the URCC title, life is the same and hasn’t changed at all,” ani three-time URCC champion Chope, na may 41-19 win-loss record. “I still actively coach and train and fighting as much as I can.” (Abante TONITE Sports)
