Aminado ang King of Talk na si Boy Abunda na nami-miss niya rin ang dati niyang talk show na “The Buzz”. Mahigit isang dekada ring namayagpag noon sa ere.

“At saka, nakaka-flatter naman at hinahanap ng taong bayan ‘yung The Buzz,” sambit ni Kuya Boy nang makapanayam namin siya sa contract signing/press launch niya bilang Level-Up Ambassador ng AMA Online Education (AMA OEd).

Medyo napag-uusapan na naman kasi ngayon ang “The Buzz” dahil sa napakalaking iskandalong pumutok sa Barretto family at hinahanap ng mga tao ang nasabing show since ito lang ang puwedeng bumusisi sa issue.

Pero ayon kay Kuya Boy, nakakatuwa man na nami-miss ng tao ang “The Buzz”, you also have to be realistic dahil iba na nga ang panahon ngayon na in just one post ng mga artists ay pwede na nilang sagutin ang mga issues sa kanila at hindi na kailangan pang umere sa TV show.

“Pero siyempre, nakaka-miss, ‘di ba? Buhay ko ‘yun ng ilan ba, 15, 16 years? Nakaka-miss,” he said.

“I have not spoken to Gretch personally. I have not spoken to any of them. But she will always be one of the closest friends I have in my life,” deklara niya.

“Wala akong masyadong alam, eh. Kailangan mo talagang makipag-usap,” he said.

“I understand that. With so much love and respect, naiintindihan ko ‘yun,” pahayag ni Kuya Boy.

Again to this, ani Kuya Boy ay naiintindihan niya.

“But I have done some of the difficult interviews of Julia, of Marjorie and I’ve always tried to be as fair as I can. I’m not perfect pero naiintindihan ko na nagbago ang kanilang isipan. Naiintindihan ko ‘yun. Because without having to know the issues, without having to take sides – because you shouldn’t – hindi naman maitatatwa na kaibigan kong matalik si Grechen kahit hindi kami nagkikita.

“I haven’t seen her pero iba ‘yung aming pinagsamahan. Mahal na mahal ko ‘yun, eh.

“And kahit ako, if Gretchen would say, ‘would you want me to do an interview with you?’ sasabihin ko, ‘mag-usap muna tayo.’ Blurred ‘yung pananaw ko rin dahil ‘how far can I go?’ di ba? How much do I know?

Ano ang nararamdaman niya that he has 4 shows (“Bottomline”, “Tonight with Boy Abunda”, “Your Moment” and “Inside the Camera”) now pero ang isa pang matalik niyang kaibigang si Kris Aquino ay napakatagal nang hindi nakikita sa telebisyon?

“But she’s well. She’s okay where she is. Life continues. Our story continues. Ano’ng mangyayari na susunod? Malay natin.”

Kumusta na silang dalawa?

“We’re okay. Of course, hindi kami nag-uusap araw-araw, but if there is anything important, we’re okay.

“Just a couple of weeks ago, birthday ko, I got one of the most meaningful messages from her. Oo, sobra. Kilala ako nu’n, eh,” sey niya.

Kahit sa social media or You Tube na lang napapanood ngayon si Kris, ayon kay Kuya Boy ay she’s doing well naman as always.

“She’s doing what she’s doing to the best of what she is. I mean, Kris will always be Kris in whatever platform,” sabi pa ng TV host.

May nakikita ba siyang chance or possibility na magkasama pa rin sila sa isang show in the future?

“Mahirap magsalita nang patapos. I’m always open.

“Ang feeling ko is I’m wishing for the best.

But right now, aniya, “hindi ko alam how I’m going to behave. I am under contract with ABS-CBN. I will remain loyal to ABS-CBN. My contract is until the end of 2020.

“So halimbawa, mangyari ang kung anumang mangyayari, I will address that as it happens. But I will honor my contract and my relationships and my friendships with people in ABS-CBN,” he said.

In the future, gusto raw niyang makapagtayo ng sarili niyang school kahit maliit lang.

In 2009, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from the Philippine Women’s University.

Hindi pa siya tumigil doon and in 2011, he earned his Master of Arts degree. At hindi pa rin natapos doon because he pursued a better understanding of social policy and in 2016, he was conferred his Doctor of Philosophy in Social Development degree.

“Through my own experience, I know how hard it can be to balance life priorities and pursuing further education. But I highly believe that you’re never too old to keep learning.

“This partnership with AMA OEd will help me promote my own advocacy of becoming a life-long learner while helping those looking for better opportunities discover that they can pursue further studies online at their convenience.”

Aside from promoting its online masters and doctorate degrees, nakatakda ring maging parte ng AMA academe si Kuya Boy wherein he will get the chance to teach AMA OEd students.

“I am looking forward to imparting my knowledge from years of experience in the field of communication and help shape the next generation media and public-relations practitioners,” he said.
