MAIKSI lang ang termino ni Christian Standhardinger sa NorthPort, parang nag-stop over lang.

Mula sa San Miguel Beer, nai-trade ang Fil-German sa Batang Pier noong 2019 Governors Cup. Walang tatlong conference ang nakalipas, nasa Ginebra na siya kapalit ni Greg Slaughter.

Isang conference lang ang nabuo ni Standhardinger sa Batang Pier – ang Philippine Cup na ni-restart noong October matapos pigilin ng coronavirus pandemic noong March.

Sandaling panahon lang, pero nakabuo na ng camaraderie si Standhardinger sa Batang Pier.

Binanggit ng No. 1 pick noong 2017 ang five-game winning run ng Batang Pier sa unang conference niya roon, lahat do-or-die games.

“Also, when we upset the number one-ranked team (NLEX) and reach the semifinals in our first conference together,” aniya.

Nilusaw ng Batang Pier ang twice-to-beat ng Road Warriors, nauwi sa classic na triple-overtime ang pangalawang laro bago nangibabaw ang NorthPort.
