DOTr: Clark Airport hahawakan ng Lipad

Hahawakan ng consortium na Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation (Lipad) ang operations and maintenance (O&M) ng Clark International Airport simula sa August 16.

Ito ang inanunsyo ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade matapos ang naganap na launching ng bagong flight ng Cebu Pacific mula Clark hanggang Bacolod, Iloilo at Tokyo via Narita.

“By August 16, we will be ready to turn over the operations and maintenance of the Clark Airport to Lipad Corporation,” ayon kay Tugade.

Nabatid na ang Lipad ay dating y North Luzon Airport Consortium (NLAC) ay kabilang sa Changi Airports Philippines Pte. Ltd., Filinvest Development Corporation, JG Summit Holdings Inc., at Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions Inc.

Kaya naman ang Clark International Airport Terminal 2 ay handa na at ka­yang mag-accommodate hanggang apat na milyong pasahero at higit pa sa susunod na taon.

Siniguro naman ni Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) president Jaime Melo na magkakaroon ng smooth turn over mula sa mga opisyal ng CIAC na magre-represent ng airport operations, human resources, marketing and finance, legal, information technology, at public relations para sa initial turnover plans ng O&M.

Ang Clark International Airport expansion project ay unang successful hybrid public-private partnership (PPP) sa ilalim ng Duterte administration. (Vick Aquino)
