Gordon ginatasan mga PWD, senior – Duterte

0 97

“Red Cross charged testing at astronomical rate around P4,000-P4,700 a piece without any discount for senior citizens o persons with disabilities. Is this not a clear violation of the Expanded Senior Citizen Act?” pahayag ng Pangulo sa kanyang `Talk to the People’ Huwebes ng gabi.

“Pakisagot lang nito kasi it is a violation of law to deprive the senior citizens and persons with disabilities of lower prices in consideration of their present situation,” anang Pangulo.

“Napansin ba ninyo noon na galit siya at sabi niya kung hindi magbayad ang gobyerno eh he will — he threatened that he will stop the testing? Red Cross is supposed to be a humanitarian organization, but when the government was struggling to source funds, you threatened to stop testing,” anang Pangulo.

“Ulitin ko `yong ginawa mo, you threatened government that you will stop, you stop testing people so they will die just because you are not paid,” dagdag ng Pangulo.

“Now you are having plans of selling vaccines and said charging P3,500 per shot is just fair. Moderna vaccines cost US$ 51 or roughly P2,500. What is the extra P1,000 for and for whom? Anong gamitin mo nito in the light of the pandemic situation in the Philippines?” wika ng Pangulo.
