Sinandalan ng Team Pilipinas ang pitong non-Olympic sports para makapag-uwi ng 2 gold at tig-14 silver at bronze medals para lumagak sa 19th place sa wakas noong Miyerkules ng gabi ng 65-nation, 11-day quadrennial 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games sa Ashgabat Olympic Complex sa Turkmenistan.

Outstanding performers sa walong national sports associations na hindi Olympic sports ang Jiu-Jitsu Federation of the Philippines, Inc. sa golden performances nina Margarita Ochoa at Annie Ramirez.

Nakadalawang silver ang Philippine Bowling Federation, may tig-isang silver at tigalawang bronze ang Billiard Sports Confederation of Philippines at National Chess Fe­deration of the Philippines.

Nag-kontribyut ang Dance Sport Council of the Phils. (0-1-1), Muay Association of the Philippines (0-1-0), at ang wala pang NSA na kurash na may isa ring bronze.

Ang Philippine Taekwondo Association ang pinakaproduktibong Olympic sport na may 0-2-5. May 0-1-2 ang weightlifting, at may isang silver ang track and field at wrestling, hiwalay ang belt wrest­ling.
