Panauhing pagdangal si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Ani ng Dangal Awards para parangalan ang mga nangungunang mga Pinoy artist. Ito’y ang mga nakakolekta ng mga international na parangal sa nakalipas na taon.

“Your excellence truly highlights the greatness of Filipino artists,” ayon kay Duterte sa kanyang pagdalo sa nasabing awarding event.

Ang nasabing parangal ay parte ng selebrasyon ng National Arts Month, kung saan pinarangalan ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) ang nasa 52 awardee na nagbigay ng karangalan sa Pilipinas.

Kasama sa mga tumanggap ng Ani ng Dangal award ay sina Judy Ann Santos, Alden Richards, Ai Ai delas Alas-Sibayan, Dante Rivero, Angeli Bayani at Ina Raymundo; filmmaker Jun Robles Lana; playwright Rody Vera; dancesport partner Sean Mischa Aranar at Ana Leonila Nualla, Mark Jayson Gayon at Mary Joy Renigen, at Wilbert Aunzo at Pearl Marie Caneda; poet Bienvenido Lumbera, Kristian Sendon Cordero, at Ricardo de Ungria; violinist Ruth Joana Livioco-Tumpalan; composer Nilo Alcala; conductor at music director Ramon Lijauco Jr; at visual artists Celso Beringuel Creer II, Jesus Ramos Tejada, at Danilo O. Victoriano, Jr.

“The nation joins me in honoring their distinguished achievements made in the international arena last year in the fields of architecture, cinema, dance, music, dramatic arts, literary arts, visual arts, folk arts, and multi-disciplinary arts,” saad pa ng Pangulo.

“May this month-long celebration of our rich culture and arts instill in the hearts and minds of our people a stronger sense of nationalism and pride in being Filipino.”
