Binisita ni Team Phili­ppines Chef de Mission William ‘Butch’ Ramirez ang competition venues­ para sa 30th Southeast Asian Games 2019 sa Subic, Zambales at New Clark City sa Capas, Tarlac nitong Martes.

Nasiyahan si Philippine Sports Commission chairman Ramirez sa kanyang pagbisita dahil ayon kay Engr. Jerico Bondoc ng Bases Conversion Deve­lopment Authority ay nasa 93% na ang natapos.

“We are thankful to the President for supporting Philippine sports,” saad ni Ramirez.

Nakasama ni Ramirez sina Deputy Chefs de Missions Stephen Fernandez, Ramon Fernandez, Charles Raymond Maxey at Arnold Agustin.

Pinuntahan din nila ang Subic Boardwalk na pagdadausan ng tria­thlon, duathlon, open water swim at modern pentathlon.

Sinilip pa sa Subic covered court gym, na venue ng sepak takraw at Subic Tennis Courts na paglalaruan din ng beach handball at beach volleyball.
Sunod na tinungo ng grupo ang Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center (SBECC), playing venue ng muay, pencak silat at table tennis.

Ang sports facilities ng NCC kasama ang Athletics Stadium and Aquatic Center ay opisyal ng certified ng IAAF (Innternational Association of Athletics Federations) at FINA (International Swimming Federation) sa katapusan ng buwan at magiging Class 1 sports venues.

“We will continue to update the President, through Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and Committee on Sports Chairman Sen. Bong (Christopher Lawrence) Go on the developments of these competition venues in both Subic and Clark,” panapos ni Ramirez.

Ang Athletes Village ay may 525 rooms at may 2,100 beds para sa mga atleta. Magbubukas na ito sa Nobyembre 20.

Ilalaro sa North Luzon ang sailing, windsurfing, arnis, sambo, wrestling, dancesport, athletics, aquatics at chess.

May total 530 events sa 57 sports ang nakaiskedyul SEA Games na susulong sa parating na November 30-December 11. (Elech Dawa)
