MMDA nilaglag si Pialago, kampi kay Doris Bigornia

Iimbestigahan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang insidenteng kinasasangkutan ng isa nilang opisyal at ng ABS-CBN news reporter Doris Bigornia.

Tugon ito ni MMDA General Manager Jose Arturo Garcia Jr. sa kahilingan ni Bigornia na magsagawa rin ng imbestigasyon ang ahensya matapos magpadala ng sulat kay ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs head Ging Reyes si MMDA spokesperson at Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago.

Noong Agosto 7 nagsimula ang alitan ng dalawa nang mabangga umano ni Pialago si Bigornia habang nagsasagawa ng earthquake drill sa Makati City. Humingi ng paumanhin si Pialago pero gumanti umano si Bigornia at pinagsalitaan pa siya nito ng masama.

Nagpadala ng complaint letter si Pialago kay Reyes at nangako naman ang huli na magsasagawa sila ng masusing imbestigasyon.

Sumulat naman si Bigornia sa tanggapan ni Garcia na may petsang Agosto 8, at sa tugon ng nasabing opisyal, tiniyak nito na kanilang aaksyunan ang reklamo batay sa “facts and evidence”.

“We would like to inform you that Asec. Pialago’s letter is personal in nature. It does not reflect or represent the MMDA as an institution despite the said letter being printed on the official letterhead. We did not sanction the same and was done at her personal behest,” ani Garcia.

Sinabi pa ng opisyal na maayos ang professional working relationship ng MMDA kay Bigornia na malaking ang naitutulong para maiparating sa publiko ang mga mensahe ng ahensya.

“Some scathing reporting alongside, your persistence and dedication in covering news concerning traffic and flooding made the public more aware of the MMDA’s efforts in serving the greater Metro Manila. We will be very pleased if you will be retained as ABS-CBN’s assigned reporter for the agency,” tugon ni Garcia kay Bigornia. (Armida Rico)
