P200K multa sa mayabang na producer

NAPAGKASUNDUAN ng mga producer na kasali sa Metro Manila Film Festival na walang maglalabas ng figures ng kinita ng kanilang pelikula.

May fine na P200,000 at posibleng ma-ban sa susunod na MMFF kapag lumabag sa kasunduan.

Kaya wala pa talagang inilalabas na box-office results mula sa mga producer, taga-MMFF at kahit mga theater owners. Narito ang statement na inilabas ng MMFF Executive Committee:

“The MMFF Execom, along with the producers of the festival entries plus the theater representatives have agreed not to release any actual figures and rankings so as not to create a bandwagon effect on the viewers.

“We encouraged everyone to support ALL the 8 entries because we are as strong as our weakest film.

“We are very happy to say that a large part of the Filipino audiences have gone back to the theaters again this Christmas and we have exceeded even the record 1st day box-office gross of MMFF 2015.

“We are looking forward to more and more people watching all the MMFF entries until January 7. MMFF-Magkaisang Mapaunlad ang Filipino Films!!”

Kung nalagpasan nga nito ang first day earnings nu’ng 2015, malaki ang tsansang maabot nila ang target ngayong taon na maka-isang bilyong piso ito.

Nagtanong-tanong na lang kami sa ilang sinehan, dahil doon naman mapupulsuhan niyo na kung alin ang malakas at ang mahinang pelikula.

Tama naman ang hula ng karamihan na tatlong pelikula lang ang maglalaban bilang top-grosser; ang Gandarrapido, Ang Panday, at Meant To Beh.
