PhilHealth hugas kamay sa Ombudsman suspensyon

Iginiit ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) na hindi nag-ugat sa isinasagawang pagdinig ng Kongreso ang ipinataw na anim na buwan suspension ng Office of the Ombudsman laban sa 13 opisyal ng ahensya.

“We also wish to clarify that the preventive suspension orders recently issued by the Ombudsman to some of its current and former officers is not in any way connected with the on-going hearings in both houses of Congress regarding the above-mentioned alleged corruption,” ayon sa pahayag ng PhilHealth.

Inutos kamakailan lang ng Ombudsman ang anim na buwang suspensiyon laban sa 13 senior PhilHealth official.

Ipinaliwanag naman ng PhilHealth na ang suspensiyon ay nag-ugat umano mula sa mga reklamong grave misconduct, oppression at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service na isinampa ng ilang regional officer na may kaugnayan sa kasong administratibo na inihain laban sa kanila sa pagitan ng taong 2017-2019.

Kabilang sa mga Philhealth executive na sinuspinde ay sina Dennis Mas, senior vice president, Management Services Sector; Shirley Domingo, vice president, Corporate Affairs Group; Rodolfo del Rosario Jr., senior vice president; Leila Tuazon, acting senior manager ng Operations, Audit Department; Clementine Bautista, vice president ng Quality Assurance Group; Roy Ferrer, Celestina Ma. Jude dela Serna, Raul Dominic Badilla, Israel Pargas, Angelito Grande, Lawrence Mijares, Eugenio Donatos II, at Ruben Basa.(Juliet de Loza-Cudia)
