Ayon kay Suarez bago pa ang Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) ay inihain na niya ang House Bill No. 3832 o “An Act Granting Tax Amnesty on All Unpaid Internal Revenue Tax Liabilities for Taxable Period January 2006 to June 2016.”
“The new Tax Amnesty Bill, when enacted, will provide a clean slate for delinquent taxpayers and will encourage all taxpayers especially low-income and middle-income earners, professionals, and even overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to avail of this program and register to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). In effect, this will improve taxpayers’ compliance to national tax policies, increase revenue collection, and reduce corruption,” paliwanag ni Suarez.
“Delayed and reduced collection is a much better alternative to no collection at all,” giit ni Suarez.
Suportado rin ni Deputy Speaker at Batangas Rep. Raneo Abu ang pagsusulong ng Estate Tax Amnesty na nakapaloob sa General Amnesty Bill.
“The amnesty on estate tax will be a big help in declogging and updating of real property records/titles. This will promote the interest of heirs in developing inherited real properties. This will also boost the financial position of LGUs,” paghahayag ni Abu.
