Bibitawan muna ni Atty. Michael Poa ang kanyang papel bilang spokesperson ng defense team ni Vice President Sara Duterte dahil sa pagtestigo nito sa Senate impeachment trial, ayon kay Atty. Justin Nicol Gular.
“I think, for the defense team, I think it’s just proper that considering that Atty. Michael Poa ay isasalang po sa impeachment court, common etiquette and proper decorum dictates… he needs to at the moment, step aside from serving as the defense team’s spokesperson,” paliwanag ni Gular.
Si Poa ay nakatakdang iharap ng prosekusyon bilang “hostile witness” sa Senate impeachment trial ngayong Miyerkoles, Setyembre 2, sa isyu ng confidential fund ni Duterte.
Ayon kay Gular, siya muna ang magsisilbing deputy spokesperson habang nakasalang sa witness stand si Poa.
